Ireland baby!

Greetings from Ireland :)

I’ve been waiting for the entire semester to do my internship in Ireland but I am obviously more hyped about the traveling around than the research internship itself. The journey to the other side of the world was shorter than going back home but still a distance. I’m glad I had great company and now im settled down in Cork with no complains.

It’s beautiful here in Ireland, regardless of where you are, north, south, east or west; the sceneries are beyond description, you really got to see it for yourself. I travelled to Galway last weekend and it was gorgeous! Anyone who has seen the movie ‘Leap year’, you’ll know what I’m talking about. Crystal and I took the bus to Galway, stayed in the B&B and took the ‘Cliffs of Moher’ tour the following day.

It was my first time staying at the B&B, I was nervous wondering if it turned out to be some crazy lady staying in it (too much horror movie) but was at the same time excited about the promising traditional Irish breakfast. It turned out that John and Marie were really nice couple, they even phoned up the tour bus to come pick us up in front of the house. Needless to say, the breakfast was oh! So wonderful!

I took bui bui on the bus tour, travelling with us as our Ireland travelling mascot. We stopped in nearly 6 different castles, and some historical places. It was all in all a very fruitful trip as well as a tiring one :) I'm excited for more! :D
