Don't eat the marshmallow yet!

you can either eat it now, or you wait.. wait for 15minutes and get 2 marshmallows...which one do you pick?

The new idea here is that,
"if a person can bear to have delayed gratification, he/she are prone to success in future"

For instance,
Skip a short trip to Minneapolis and save up for Paris during winter.
Skip that scrumptious tiramisu and have a body of Megan Fox.
Skip the fun time or party at a friends place to study and do better in an exam.

and it all boils down to self discipline, determination, and of course: your choice.

We all make sacrifices in life,
one day we will have to lose one thing for another,
one day we will need to bid goodbye and pursue own life,
one day (or many days) we will need to skip the happy hours and work OT,
one day we will need to stop man hunting and have eyes for only one,
one day we will need to give up on that prada bag for daughter's tuition fees,

but heres what,
the days you worked OT, gives you a promotion
the days you finally have eyes for one, you found your love and have a happy family
that day you give up on the prada bag, your children is on their way to great success
and perhaps going through the same thing like you did.

Delayed gratification for me, is sacrificing for now and enjoyment later.
in lame man's term, suffering now and goyang kaki later..

I personally like this one very much, it reminds me to keep moving forward.
your gift is in front of you, but you got through those hurdles that spells 'not this time', 'try again', 'good try' until you reach the one that says 'congratulations!' :)

Ledi, that was a great article. Thank you so much for helping me communicate the idea that self discipline is the most important factor for success in life. People, communities, teams, and even countries must understand this concept. Thanks again,
